Pre-Combine Notes 4.0
- Last year Kevin Zeitler of Wisconsin was a surprise selection in round one when the Cincinnati Bengals tabbed him with the 27th pick. Who will be the surprise of the first frame this year? At this stage sources tell me it could be Zeitler’s former Badger teammate Travis Frederick. One general manager has referred to Frederick as the best interior run blocking line the draft has witnessed in more than a half-decade. We hear Frederick will be a tight 315-pounds for the combine. Where could he end up? Sources tell me possibly the Indianapolis Colts at pick 24 as the team needs a guard or the Atlanta Falcons at pick 30. Watch what Atlanta does in free agency. We hear the game plan is to move Peter Konz, who started at guard as a rookie last season, to center and then sign a veteran guard. If they don’t sign a veteran then Frederick could be an option.

The Tape Never Lies: Jarvis Jones is talented but has many questions | 100 Yards and Running | Blogs | theScore.com
There are polarizing prospects in every draft and this year’s is Georgia’s outside linebacker Jarvis Jones. The six-foot-two, 240 pound Jones has been one of the most dynamic pass-rushers in college football the last two years, logging a monstrous 28.5 sacks during that time. But as evaluators continue to put him under the microscope prior to the Combine, questions arise about his true physical talent and just what kind of production he’ll have at the next level.
Zach Ertz, Fluid Mover - Evaluations - Rotoworld.com
I watched Stanford play Notre Dame and Oregon during the 2012 regular season. I knew Stanford tight end Levine Toilolo was highly regarded by NFL scouts before the year, but against the Ducks and Irish a different Cardinal playing the same position jumped off the screen. He wore No. 86, had a short last name I couldn't quite make out, ran like a gazelle, and made plays at the second and third levels of the defense. I eventually learned that this player's name was Zach Ertz.

The History of Black Quarterbacks in the NFL
Five years ago, I wrote a five part series detailing the history of the black quarterback. Tyler Eifert vs. Zach Ertz: A Metrics Breakdown " Second Round Stats
Everyone wants the next Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham, it’s en vogue in the NFL right now.
