Overrated-underrated: Broncos' nickel DB Harris worth every penny - NFL - CBSSports.com News, Rumors, Scores, Stats, Fantasy
Justin Tuck used to be on the list of elite pass rushers. Now he tops Pete Prisco's annual list of overrated players. As for underrated? Prisco says Broncos nickel corner Chris Harris is worth every penny.

Pete Carroll: Eliminating PED use a '24/7' commitment - NFL.com
Carroll knows it's a topic that is not going away. "We have extraordinary commitment to what we do on the football field, with our training and our preparation and all of that. Our commitment has been called on to expand to 24-7, that's what it amounts to," Carroll told USA today on Thursday. "Everyone is involved in this."

Podcast Episode #3 (Feat. Danny Kelly of FieldGulls) | Wait For It Seattle
The Wait For It Seattle podcast returns for the second season with a new format, new editing and new jokes. Ok, probably the same old jokes, but the rest is new. Kevin Cacabelos, once of SB Nation and currently an intern for ESPN, teams up with Wait For It Seattle founder (sounds fancy) Brian Elsner to comment on everything relevant in Seattle sports today.

John Schneider on Seahawks PED suspensions: It’s not what people think | ProFootballTalk
“It’s just not what people think. I’m not trying to diminish any issues or anything, but every guy — they’re young, and they need life skills coaching,” Schneider said, via Lindsay Jones of USA Today. “They’re 21- to 25-year-old guys, they think they have all the answers, but they don’t.”

Seahawks' Richard Sherman squawks again - Blog - MyNorthwest.com
"We nearly have reached the point where we don't have enough hours in the day to publish a post every time Richard Sherman speaks critically about an NFL contemporary."

Raining on NFC West offseason parade - NFC West Blog - ESPN
Mel Kiper Jr. is listing the St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals among five NFL teams he thought enjoyed outstanding offseasons to this point.

90-Day NFL Warning: Richard Sherman and Roddy White Don't Seem to Like Each Other Very Much - The Triangle Blog - Grantland
For the same reason it lacks stars, the NFL typically lacks villains. In an 11-per-side, helmeted-and-padded game, personality rarely shines through, and that means the objects of our loathing become the men roaming the sideline, or the helmets themselves. There are occasions when a brash wide receiver or a stomping can get our attention, but it doesn’t go much beyond that. And that’s why Richard Sherman’s continuing efforts to go full wrestling heel have been wonderful.

Seattle Seahawks Blog - Hawk Blogger: What A Healthy Walter Thurmond Would Mean
NFL off-seasons are chock full of paper tigers. Players that appear ready to burst onto the NFL scene, based on pad-less OTA practices and coaches comments. Then, the season comes, and it almost seems as if the coaches, the player and the media turn toward the fans in unison and say, "Gotcha!"

Josh Gordon suspended two Cleveland Browns games - NFL.com
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been suspended two games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Did the Browns know about this before the Davone Bess trade?

Roddy White says Richard Sherman talked his way into All-Pro selection | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has not been in the league very long, but in two short seasons, the 2011 fifth-round pick out of Stanford has earned a reputation of being a player who is quite eager to provide an opinion of himself and his opponent and colleagues.

The Tape Never Lies: Victor Butler was an underrated signing by the Saints | 100 Yards and Running | Blogs | theScore.com
Free agency is a time of rash decisions and bad players getting bad contracts, but every now and then, there are deals made that actually make sense for both the player and the team. Case and point: outside linebacker Victor Butler signing a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints in late March.

Pricing the 4-3 Defensive End - Over the Cap
One of the things that I like to do here is come up with different ways to value positional players. Today on Twitter Joel Corry mentioned Jared Allen and how difficult it will be to get a $10 million a year contract because of his age. I pretty much think its impossible but Joel brought up a great point when I compared him to John Abraham in that Allen plays well over 90% of the snaps while Abraham is a situational player. So of course that got me to thinking about putting something together on the 43 Defensive End position. As always the raw data comes from Pro Football Focus but the actual analytical work is my own.
