Everett Herald: What your Seahawks jersey number says about you

+

This is fun, and was highly accurate, at least when I plugged in #s 3 and 25 for myself...heh heh heh...

Carroll says Manning called him two years ago

+

Never heard this, now I understand a lot better why he and Schneider went to try to meet with him. Apparently they did have some reason to believe he was interested. Ironically, I'm really, really glad that didn't work out. The part about Schneider saying we wouldn't have been able to afford several pieces they signed after that is enough to scare me off that once-possible Seahawk future.

Clayton and Sando agree Denver would be 3rd in NFC West

Hearing them agree that the Broncos would be about a 10-win team if they played in the NFC West has tremendously increased my confidence about this Super Bowl matchup.

Richard Sherman Was Just Fined For Taunting

6

So it took five days, but the NFL decided to fine Richard for unsportsmanlike conduct/taunting. Best thing about it is it will breath new life into the Sherman story just when it had a chance of dying down. Terrific.

I've enjoyed all their videos. Newest one.

Turning Point

Turning point of the NFC Championship. Not gonna lie, it got super dusty in front of my computer towards the end.

Sherman has more class than Crabtree

1

Based on the mic'ed up video from NFL Films, despite Crabtree trying to pick a fight with Sherman at a charity event over the summer, Sherman complimented him and the Niners after the pick and said "hell of a game, hell of a game". Crabtree's response was to physically assault Sherman. First, the NFL should have flagged Crabtree from the open handed punch to Sherman's face. In "good sportsman" etiquette, when someone compliments you on a good game, the proper response isn't to punch him in the face. Second, after a punch to the face, when you were trying to compliment them on a good game, anger is a normal reaction. Giving the choke sign and then calling the person who punched you a mediocre receiver is more than understandable in light of the circumstances. Many people would and have in the past physically retaliated in kind, especially considering that Crabtree and the Niners threw the first punch (second if you include the sideline assault on Lane earlier in the game that prevented him from being in a position to recover the fumble, but I digress). I for one would like to commend Sherman on his restraint and his sportsmanship. Crabtree is a POS, and the NFL Films backs that up.

From Middlebury to the Super Bowl: Seattle K Steven Hauschka

Nice story + video on Hauschka's journey from being a soccer team cut at a Division III school, all the way to the Super Bowl!
