Grant Wistrom Cut
As MFAN just broke in the diary section, Seahawks.net reports that Grant Wistrom has been cut by the Seahawks.
With the signing of free agent Patrick Kerney to the ever-shifting defensive line, this move was semi-expected. Bittersweet, maybe, but not unexpected.
Possibly more details to come.

can't say we didn't see it coming
With all that said, I truly respect Grant, he left it all on the field and I think his leadership was key in 2005 and probably even in 2006. You have to admire someone that plays the way Grant does. I hope he catches on somewhere and can help another team win..as long as that team doesn't beat the Hawks.

it seems to me
1) They are going to sign several more players
or
2) Some kinda trade is in the works that they need more cap room for
It would seem that they had enough cap room to get adequate players to fill holes without this move, so I dunno, I guess we'll see

sounds like Deion Grant

This would be a very solid signing IMO. Obviously we should wait till it's offical (see Dielman, Kris).
The only bad news is that this would most likely mean the end of the Hammer-as the article points out. That doesn't surprise me though, Sando said yesterday that the Hawks havent persued Hamlin at all.
Hopefully this gets done!

"As I've written in a previous blog, Grant is pretty much the Anti-Hamlin. He's good in coverage, a leader and decent tackler. More to come."
Ahh..Hamlin was pretty good in coverage. Ahh...Hamlin was a leader and I always thought was a solid tackler.

Oh Babs was worse
I guess Hamlin can be in good position its just Boulware played better with someone more disciplined. And that could be communication errors between them or one playing out of position.
