Quarterback of Seahawks defense hurting!!!
That's right folks. We are in big trouble come Sunday, because the Seahawks' defensive leader is questionable. This "leader", this "quarterback" of the defense, this "hard-hitting" individual, one of the "main reasons we have only given up 10 TD passes all season", etc., etc.
I don't know about you, but my new prediction for this game, with our defensive quarterback out? Panthers 78, Seahawks 30.
(Oh, and if you don't want to go to the link, I'm talking about Brian Russell)

ESPN is AWESOME!!!
You ever watch ESPN and just, you know, MARVEL at how awesome it is?
Take, for instance, the 30 seconds of "1st and 10" I saw today, where I turned it on just as Skippy "next to be captured on 'Reaper'" Bayless and Jalen Rose (what the.....?) picked the Eagles/Seahawks game. Now, I could care less about whether either of these asses pick the Hawks. Seriously, because calling Jalen Rose an expert on anything other than underachievement in the game of basketball, and towel-waving for the Suns last year, is a stretch.
No, what was awesome was WHY Jalen Rose picked Seattle to lose by 17 points. I wish I could find the transcript of this, because part of me feels like I dreamed it, but he actually said that it would be hard for the Hawks to lose with both Shaun and Hasselbeck out of the game. This was agreed with by Skippy. And this immediately caused me to get online, go here, go to ESPN.com, go to the Seattle Times, and see what the HELL they were talking about.
Let it be known that I immediately switched the station, choosing to instead watch the DVR'd "Battlestar: Galactica RAZOR", which was much more awesome (yeah grammar!) than ESPN.

NFL Replay
For those of you who actually have NFL Network, here's a brief heads up. The Seahawks/Bears game is getting reshown on the NFL Network through NFL Replay on Wednesday, 7:30PM PST.
If you have never seen any of those before, it's an excellent 90 minute summary of the game, and takes up a LOT less space on the ol' DVR. Plus, it might be the last opportunity to revisit a game when the Hawks actually looked dominant.

Belichick cuts a beli-check
Coach gets manhandled by the Commish with a $500,000 fine, the Patriots get fined an additional $250,000, and then the Commish gets creative. A 1st rounder gone if they make it to the postseason, a 2nd and 3rd if they don't.
I have nothing new to add to this, besides the fact that I felt that there was nothing new on this planet that could make me possibly hate Boston sports teams (and fans) more.
I was wrong. All in all, though, I think a fair punishment. The calls for game forfeiture and banning from the postseason seemed NCAA-ish and stupid. This hurts the main perpetrators in the pocket and in the draft. Kudos to the NFL.
