Branch Out; Locklear Likely Out
Deion Branch will not play according to Holmgren from Sando's report.
Also, Sean Locklear will also likely not play with his injury. So that means Ray Willis will start at right tackle.
Coach Mike Holmgren says Branch will not play Sunday when the Seahawks open their season at Buffalo.
Branch was trying to get back in time for the season opener just seven months after having major reconstructive surgery on his left knee.
That means Burleson, Taylor, Kent, and Payne will be the guys for 4 WR sets.
And the starting line should be Jones, Wahle, Spencer, Sims, Willis.
I think Branch went too quickly, he and Engram should come back when Seattle has to face the Giants.

Sportsline Puts Wrong Logo For Seattle Seahawks
So Pete Prisco has his usual against the spread picks show on Sportsline video. A known Seahawks hater and has admitted to constantly picking the Cardinals to win the NFC West, Prisco had his line of excuses ready for picking the Bills to beat Seattle this weekend.
I guess Sportsline was caught sleeping, and I took a screen grab of the video shot, and it looks like our logo looks eerily similar to the Carolina Panthers.

Ron Pitts, Tony Boselli, and Charissa Thompson to be at Seahawks/Bills Game
Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick will be calling Tampa/NO, Sam Rosen and Tim Ryan will be in San Francisco. Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston will be in Philly for Rams/Eagles.
Buck and Aikman don't touch anything Seattle related, they gotta have that Cowboys/Browns game so Aikman can talk about his playing days in Dallas over and over again.
Matt Vasgersian and JC Pearson are likely headed for San Diego since Vasgersian is the Padres announcer.
EDIT: Your announcers are:
Ron Pitts and Tony Boselli
*Cringes*.
But Charissa Thompson is there, so.....
As for the games themselves:
Jets @ Dolphins on CBS 7
Seahawks @ Bills on FOX 13
Cowboys @ Browns on FOX 13

Umenyiora Done For the Season
Osi Umenyiora will not get the chance to go around Walter Jones and sack Hasselbeck in week 5. Instead, his knee locked up in the Giants/Jets Bretts game, was carted off the field, and.......
Tore some ligaments, and he will be out for the season.
Umenyiora is one of my favorite players, but the Giants game in week 5 is an early pivotal match on the road, and not seeing him and having Mathias Kiwanuka possibly moving back to DE makes me feel a lot more comfortable.
Huge loss for the Giants, and I've writen them off already unless they win every road game.

If ESPN Had a Poll on the NFC West
Just a little joke to lighten up a cloudy day here in the Pacific Northwest
We know of ESPN's distaste of Seattle, particularly it's former employee, Sean Salisbury, who thinks Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith are the greatest thing since sliced bread, let alone the Panthers team.
Well they created a poll on the ever strong NFC West......who would win the NFC West they asked? This is what they came up with....

Seahawks Nab Bryan Gilmore
The magic of signing/trading players from within the division continues. Bryan Gilmore is now a Seattle Seahawk according to Jose Miguel Romero:
KIRKLAND — Bryan Gilmore's tour of the NFC West has brought him to the Seahawks.
The ninth-year pro, an undrafted free agent out of NCAA Division II Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas, has managed to make an NFL career out of being a key special-teams contributor and an extra wide receiver.
He began his career with the Arizona Cardinals, spending four seasons there and playing in NFL Europe as a rookie. Then came two seasons in Miami, and in 2006, Gilmore signed with the San Francisco 49ers. He became a free agent after last season.
I've seen Gilmore play in a couple of games and I think he is decent, he's fast, can be a special teams person, but other than that I'm not too thrilled by this, I think this is an good but not a great one. On the other hand, in the same report from JMR, Obumanu and Bumpus eached dropped punts so......

If You Had to Cut Somebody
Ruskell is making YOU the person in charge of releasing 3 Seahawks of your choice, regardless of their contractual agreements. Don't know why, but this is fiction. This is before training camp even starts, you get to cut 3 Seahawks players who were on last year's team (that means no cutting that kicker we drafted okay?), are still officially a part of this year's team, based on their recent game by game performances.
Note: Deion Branch cannot be cut because well.....you can't cut someone who is on the injured list.
The city is on it's toes, waiting for your decision. Who gets sent packing?
I choose Babs, Russell, and Porkchop. Is it that obvious I need to explain it to you?

High Point/Low Point Of 2007 Seahawks Season?
We are just a measly 1 month away from seeing how Owen Schmitt and Leonard Weaver and TJ Duckett will run over people with ease (as well as moving the ball forwards when it's a running play).
I want to know from you, the highest point of last season for you, and the lowest point. It can be a game, a play, an injury, etc.
SSR's Highest Point: Have to say the Wild-Card game against the Redskins, when Marcus Trufant had the pick 6 to seal the game. Other candidates included the 42-21 thumping of Arizona to seal the NFC West, and the Lofa Tatupu interception festival in Philly.
Lowest Point: I'm so tempted to pick the game when Alexander fumbled away the chances of winning in Arizona, or the shutout against the Steelers, or even the follow-up performance against the Saints at home. However, the fact that the Seahawks couldn't pick up a 4th and short twice against one of the worst rushing defenses in the Cleveland Browns did it for me. That, and the fact that they blew a 21-9 lead.
Your turn.

BREAKING NEWS: Seattle Stuns Everyone, Unveils New Helmet
Pete Prisco, CBS Sportsline writer and new friend for giving the Seahawks a B+ for picking Lawrence Jackson, has some really neat inside information.
An unexpected move has seen the Seahawks change their helmet, yet they will keep the same jersey design. Here is the exclusive look at our new helmets.
via ssreporters.files.wordpress.com
That looks familiar doesn't it? This year's Thanksgiving game will be really fun for the Seahawks now.
