Team Insider - Hobbs beats Wilson for the dime spot?

http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFL/NFC/NFC+West/Seattle/WWHI/2008/wwhi071608.htm

According to "The Way We Here It", the Pro Football Weekly "gossip" column, a Seattle team insider said that Kevin Hobbs has been looking great and might beat Josh Wilson for the dime spot. Not only does this imply that Babs is set as the nickel, but that the team might be having trouble finding something for a guy with 4.3 speed to do. Does anybody think this is even remotely a possibility? I'm sure Wilson would be a great special teamer, but I think we were hoping for a little more than a kickoff gunner when we drafted him.

Trufant makes his offer

http://www.thenewstribune.com/512/story/299912.html

About $9 mil a year - less than Asante, of course. I think we should take it. With the way salaries are going up, he'd certainly cost more than this in a few years, especially if he continues to play at or near this level. We might be overpaying a bit, but it would be nice to lock him up now at a price which will appear reasonable two or three years from now. Apparently, the cap hit for this season would not be overwhelming.

Also, does anyone else feel a little weird about the possibility, remote though it is, of T.J. Duckett and D.J. Hackett on the same roster? The names are just a bit too similar.

Ads: Shaun Alexander Workout!

I don't know if everyone else sees the same Google Ads as I do, but I just love the ad for Shaun Alexander's NFL workout. I think it involves lots of falling down and hitting cement blocks with your injured foot/wrist. If I was going to guess the player on the Seahawks with the "best" workout program, Shaun would be sooooo far down that list.
