The leading candidates are Josh Brown and Marcus Trufant. Though Sean Locklear is in the running, it'd be surprising to see Seattle give 7.455 million to a right tackle, especially in light of this year's tackle rich draft. The downside to the tag is its dramatic impact on the cap. As much as a I love Tru, 9.465 million is a staggering sum to tie up in one player. Brown would cost 2.514 million. I hope Seattle uses the tag as leverage to sign Trufant, Locklear, Brown or DJ Hackett to a longer but decidedly more affordable contract. Should any of these players stick at their cap cost, it'd badly hamper Seattle's ability to pursue anything but bottom barrel free agents.
