With our next selection, Dave Krieg's Super Happy Fun Time Factory is proud to take Joe Nash, DT. I am admittedly a sucker for good line play, and Nash was everything we wish Marcus Tubbs would be consistently when healthy, both in terms of taking up space and tackles, with the ability to rush the passer on occasion. One of the longest tenured Seahawks ever over 14 seasons and 218 games, Nash was an absolute warrior. Not only did he amass 743 tackles to rank 2nd all time behind Eugene Robinson, he followed it up with 47.5 sacks, which is an impressive statistic considering he played NT in a 3-4 for a significant portion of his career. When paired with Cortez Kennedy in 1992, it is no surprise that the defense was such a bright spot in such a depressing year. Nash earned one All-Pro, Pro Bowl nod in 1984 but toiled in obscurity for much of the rest of his career. However, statistically speaking, there isn't a better DT in Hawks history outside of Tez. Welcome to the Fun Time Factory, Joe. Wreak some havoc.
