With our next pick, Dave Krieg's Super Happy Fun Time Factory is pleased to take the best pass rusher in Seahawks' history, Jacob Green. We can only hope that his new son-in-law from his alma mater, Texas A&M, Red Bryant, is half the player Green was. Jacob ended with 97.5 career sacks officially, but that is not including his first three seasons where a sack wasn't a set statistic. According to Wikipedia, that would put his total up at 116, which is a model of consistency over his 13 seasons, 12 with Seattle. This put his career only behind Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White over that span of time, to give you an idea of his talent. Green was an absolute joy to watch play during my youth, with the type of dynamic pass-rush skills that we have not seen consistently from a Seahawk for years out of the line. Great teams are built from their line play, and with that in mind the Fun Time Factory is off to a great start. |
