Before we catch up with yesterday's evening practice, Seattle made a minor roster move releasing linebacker Tony Taylor and signing Shane Simmons. Taylor had sat out practice since Sunday with knee soreness, and when you're signed mostly to provide camp depth, you can't miss multiple practices. Simmons is a local kid, so there's that. He played at University of Idaho before transferring to Western Washington University. Simmons was a 2007 Captain's Award winner and Defensive Player of the Year for a Vikings program that has since been cut. Simmons has very little chance of making the Seahawks roster in any capacity, and very little chance of making a pro roster, but this has got to be a dream come true, so go bust some heads man.
