St. Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks Open Thread

I just watched Shaun Rogers tear through Vikings center John Sullivan. Max Unger and Rob Sims, protect Steve Vallos. The skeleton key to winning any game is to outscore your opponent, and the most effective way to do that is to pass effectively and effectively stop your opponents' passing game. That should decide today's matchup and if you're looking for a game within the game, watch how Seattle's pass block and pass rush perform. We'll call those keys to the season.

If you haven't read it yet, I suggest this series about Mike Holmgren's play calling successor, Greg Knapp.

The Plan

Below you will find a detailed break down of a zone-stretch play. This is one way to stretch, but the concepts hold through most zone plays.

There is no Week 1, must-win game. The Seahawks put themselves into an awful hole by losing today. Ideally, we want the Seahawks to establish themselves against a weak opponent. Any win works.

Deion Branch is inactive, along with Travis Fisher, Red Bryant, Michael Bennett, Derek Walker, Chris Spencer and Walter Jones. Deon Butler, you become a Pro today. No time like today.
