Tonight "Win Forever" squares off against "Pick Your Battles" in a matchup between empty dogma versus common sense. I have no problem with Charlie Whitehurst starting the season as the Seahawks starting quarterback, but let's get there through good process and fair competition and not by offering Matt Hasselbeck to the wolves. That said, while this might be a particularly risky scenario, Hasselbeck should, should, should be able to survive 30 or so snaps. And then we can convince ourselves it was all necessary and for the best though it never was and never is.
Tonight is the BIG preseason game. Pete Carroll talked about game-planning for this game. That means Seattle should show a reasonable facsimile of its offense and defense. The offense has been fine. The defense needs to show something that would imply this whole Leo nonsense can work.
