Yahoo! Fantasy Football supports SB Nation and pigskin awesomeness. It’s also the #1 Fantasy Football game thanks to dazzling player research, instant stats with free live scoring, iPhone, Android, and iPad apps this season. Plus, new scoring categories for long receptions and rush plays. (Yes!) Sign up at yahoo.com/fantasyfootball.

We're trying to get this thing up and rolling but first I wanted to lay out how I see it going. When we did our first post about the Field Gulls Fantasy Football League we had about 65 people interested. That means we should expect about four or five separate leagues under the Field Gulls Fantasy Football Umbrella. I'm going to commish one league, Scruffy Lefty will commish another, and then I'll need volunteers to commish the remaining two or three leagues, depending on the interest level.

Here's how it will work, ideally. We will establish scoring rules and institute them uniformly across all the leagues, but each league will hold it's own draft and playoffs.

After every week during the regular season, we'll announce the standings in a fanpost, and post the top five or ten scores across all leagues (we'll have commissioners email us their info, leaderboard, top scores, etc). This gives you an idea of your performance matched up across all leagues and will give you the chance to talk a little smack. We'll get to find out who the Field Gulls Grand Champion in regular season points will be, sort of like Highlander, or something. (THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!)

We'll do individual playoffs for each league, but then have standings for regular season points leaders (TOP GMs) and then a Field Gulls Fantasy Master Ring of Honor (or something less nerdy so girls will still like us (sorry, ladies are included as well but I'm guessing that it will be a majority men)) that will tell everyone who won each league. Anyway, it should be a good time and it's a way that everyone can get involved.

First, because I can think of no easier way to do it, we'll try first-come, first-serve for the league I'm the commish for, then we'll fill Scruffy's, then we'll appoint Commissioners for more, and take if from there by updating this post.

So come, sign up. Don't pay much attention to the scoring yet, as it's going to change.
