FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | Futures: Studying "The Asterisk"
I’m fascinated by the underdog, exceptions to the rule, and ideas that run counter to convention. I believe there’s merit to the idea that once something in life becomes conventional, it’s no longer the safest path to success. Otherwise, Favre is a fun exception to the rule when it comes to the mechanics of delivering the football and playing the game at the highest level.

Mock Drafts 2012: Bears give Cutler another weapon in Floyd
We're less than three weeks out from the 2012 NFL Draft, so for the most part, the hay is in the barn. Most of the work is done before the NFL's legion of fans starts paying attention to the draft. Pretty much all of it is done now. Draft boards are set, teams have their targets, tentative trade talks are ongoing and, outside of a player arrest or freak injury, not all that much is going to change between now and the big day. But our projections will, as we learn more about what clubs are thinking. So with no further delay, based on some research over the weekend, here's my latest -- and best -- shot at the dartboard:
