Supplemental draft today, you guys.
Meet DE Greg Scruggs, the Seahawks 7th round draft pick. " The Matchups Zone
How do you see yourself fitting into the D line rotation? " My main role thus far is just to pass rush. That’s my niche, that’s what got me into college, that’s what got me drafted. Also giving Red, Mebane, and AB (A. Branch) some rest on 3rd down and really getting after the quarterback. That’s why the Seahawks got me. Coaches tell me all of the time to just get there, and that’s what I do. At the strong end opposite of Chris Clemons, it’s just me and JJ ( Jason Jones) so that’s my job. That’s where I think I’ll make my mark in this league."

Ken Norton is in only his third season as the Seahawks’ linebackers coach, but his still-under-construction unit continues to get infusions of the young and the not-as-young...
Seahawks 2012: Receivers
The Seahawks got caught with their hands down last season because of too many injuries among the wide receivers and tight ends. So they’ll be better this season, if they can get and stay healthy.

Handicapping the Josh Gordon Sweepstakes | The Sideline View
9) Seattle Seahawks – The Seahawks have a below average group of wide receivers. That much is obvious. And with the team having so much uncertainty at the position, you can see why they were at Gordon’s workout. And the team is clearly willing to take risks (see Bruce Irvin in this year’s draft), so it wouldn’t be surprising for them to seriously consider selecting him early.
NFL supplemental draft: Josh Gordon's potential worthy of mid-round flier - NFL - Sporting News
BOTTOM LINE: Based on Gordon's 2010 game tape at Baylor, he had better hands and run-after-the-catch ability than Kendall Wright, who was the 2012 NFL Draft's 20th overall pick by the Tennessee Titans. Gordon must improve his routes, but in terms of pure physical skills he has all the tools to be a highly productive NFL receiver. Gordon is likely to be drafted in the third or fourth round because of his size and potential. Based purely on film evaluation, Gordon is a better prospect than Brian Quick (St. Louis Rams) and Stephen Hill (New York Jets), both of whom were second-round pick in April.
Overnight, Gordon goes from obscurity to top prize of supplemental draft -
Seemingly overnight, Ex-Bayor widout Josh Gordon has gone from anonymous to coveted in NFL circles. Jason La Canfora says RG3's former teammate could go as high as the second round in the NFL supplemental draft.

Green Bay Packers could keep six wide receivers - NFL.com
The Green Bay Packers depth at wide receiver could force them to make some difficult decisions come time for roster cuts. Brian McIntyre writes the Packers might keep six WRs, as other teams wait to see who's available.
Person of interest: WR Deon Butler | Seahawks Blog | The Seattle Times
Two years ago was the first time I wondered if Deon Butler was going to be back. He was a third-round pick that Pete Carroll had inherited, and at 5 feet 10, he knew he didn't quite fit the size specifications that Carroll seemed to prefer at that position.
Person of interest: WR Mike Williams | Seahawks Blog | The Seattle Times
Three games into the 2011 season, Tarvaris Jackson had accumulated more yards rushing (45) than Mike Williams had receiving (43). As telling as that fact was, there was something else just as important: Williams was aware of the fact his receiving total was eclipsed by Jackson's rushing total.
One year makes the difference for Doug Baldwin | Pensacola News Journal | pnj.com
It’s Monday afternoon, dark storm clouds are hanging on the horizon off Pensacola Bay, and it’s so obvious that life couldn’t have changed any more drastically for Doug Baldwin in the past year. And that’s a very good thing.
Seattle Seahawks Blog - Hawk Blogger: Breaking Down Russell Wilson
Matt Flynn has two NFL starts. Tarvaris Jackson has 34. I spent time breaking down Flynn and Jackson recently. Russell Wilson has yet to play a snap in the NFL, but his four years of college play should at least be directionally interesting. I compiled Wilson's college splits from cfbstats.com and combined them into career splits, just as I did with Jackson. The results were impressive, astounding even, and paint a promising picture of what kind of player Wilson could be if his game translates to the NFL.

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | Word of Muth: Scouting the 49ers
This week we’ll be reviewing the 49ers. For the first time all offseason I took a look at two full games in preparation. First, I watched their Thanksgiving evening game against the Baltimore Ravens; the one in which they gave up seven sacks. I also watched their playoff win in the divisional round against the New Orleans Saints. That was a much better performance, as the only time the Saints generated real pressure on Alex Smith was when they sent heavy blitzes that left their secondary exposed.
