NFLDraftScout.com's top eight quarterbacks heading into the 2012 season are (1) USC's Matt Barkley, (2) Arkansas' Tyler Wilson, (3) Virginia Tech's Logan Thomas, (4) Tennessee'sTyler Bray, (5) Oklahoma's Landry Jones, (6) Georgia's Aaron Murray, (7) LSU Zach Mettenberger, and (8) West Virginia's Geno Smith. The top-four of that group are currently first-round projections; the next three, first- to second-rounders; and Smith a solid second-round prospect. I've posted scouting videos for Wilson, Thomas, Bray, Jones and Murray, we'll finish today with Smith.

Smith was in attendance at the Manning Passing Camp last week and NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah, a former NFL scout, had this to say: "West Virginia QB Geno Smith was very impressive during the week. He is right around 6-3 and he has the frame to carry 225 pounds. The senior boasts a very live arm and his footwork was much better than I anticipated. Off the field, Smith has a great personality and he's very focused on taking his play to a new level in 2012."

Surprisingly, perhaps, Smith was also tabbed as the preseason Big-12 Player of the Year over Oklahoma's Landry Jones. As always, tip of the cap to the fellas at DraftBreakdown.com -- they do the yeoman's work on scouting prospect cutups so make sure you follow the links on the videos below to follow them on twitter.
