I've rounded up a pretty good group of listens for you this Sunday, including Herm Edwards, Jon Gruden, and former NFL executive Andrew Brandt on the Marshawn Lynch/Seahawks situation. Former Seahawks great Jacob Green talks to the Calabro show, and in case you missed it, I embedded the Seahawks Blogger Roundtable from this week - a good listen. Former NFL Scout Daniel Jeremiah talks to Softy about the Seahawks and of course, a must listen every week is Doug Farrar and Rob Rang's Chalk Talk program. They talk to CBS' Bruce Feldman, former NFL Scout Russ Lande, and the inimitable Brian McIntyre. .
Herm Edwards on Brock and Salk: "Edwards, a former NFL coach and current analyst for ESPN, tells "Brock and Salk" that if he were the Seahawks' coach he would bench Marshawn Lynch for an undisclosed number of games even though the Seahawks' running back hasn't yet been charged following his recent DUI arrest. Edwards says there's no excuse for a team's star player to put himself in such a dangerous position."
Jon Gruden on with Brock and Salk: "Gruden, a former NFL head coach and current ESPN analyst, tells "Brock and Salk" that losing Marshawn Lynch to a suspension "would make things very difficult" on the Seahawks' offense." Gruden also weighs in on the Seahawks' quarterback competition and explains why he's so high on Seattle's defense.
Brock Huard on with Bob and Groz: "Huard, co-host of 710 ESPN Seattle's "Brock and Salk," talks to Bob and Groz about how the Seahawks three-way quarterback competition won't prove effective, how wide reciever Sidney Rice will be the biggest factor going into the season and the continuing contract dispute with defensive end Chris Clemons."
Andrew Brandt on with Bob and Groz: "ESPN NFL business analyst Andrew Brandt tells "Bob and Groz" that any discipline regarding Marshawn Lynch's DUI charge could come from the Seahawks as opposed to the league. Brandt, who worked in the NFL as both an agent and the vice president of the Green Bay Packers, says a player suspended by his team can appeal to an independent arbitrator whereas a league suspension is appealable only to commissioner Roger Goodell."
John Clayton and Jacob Green talk to Kevin Calabro: "Clayton joins the show for Cold Hard Facts. Seahawks legend Jacob Green talks about his son-in-law Red Bryant and the Seahawks."
Seahawks Beat Writer Roundtable: "HOUR ONE/HOUR TWO of the Furness Show on this Roundtable Wednesday, Ian and Puckett are joined by Seahawks beat writers John Boyle, Danny O'Neil, and Eric Williams, to talk Seahawks football."
Softy talks with former NFL Scout and now contributor at NFL.com, Daniel Jeremiah, about Seahawks and NFL.
CHALK TALK HOUR ONE: "Doug Farrar of Yahoo Sports and Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com talk with Bruce Feldman of CBSSports.com to discuss the Penn State fallout and the upcoming college football season."
CHALK TALK HOUR TWO: "Doug Farrar of Yahoo Sports and Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com talk with Russ Lande of the Sporting News about Browns supplemental draft pick Josh Gordon and the prospects to watch. Brian McIntyre of NFL.com and Football Outsiders also joins the show to talk about the Seahawks as camp approaches quickly."
