NFL Free agency signings, cuts, & rumors tracker: Day 4

Big moves again today and it starts with the fax machine clusterf*ck in Denver. According to The Denver Post's Mike Kleis, Elvis Dumervil had agreed to a contract restructuring with the Broncos that would have kept him in Denver, and he told the team at 1:25pm local time. At 1:59 local time, because the Broncos had not yet received the contract paperwork via fax from Dumervil's agent, they were forced to release him. Had the 2:00pm deadline come and gone, the Broncos would have been on the hook for over $12M. As it stands now, the fax came through at 2:06 pm and Dumervil is a free agent, but the Broncos are still faced with dead money cap charges of nearly $5M - this makes it tough for them to re-sign the sack artist. Wow. Weirdest thing ever.

- WR Ben Obomanu was released by the Seahawks. We'll miss you Obo - and here's to you catching on with a new team.

- WR Greg Jennings signed with the Vikings to a five year deal. That's kind of... interesting.

- DE Marcus Spears signed with the Ravens, RB Ronnie Brown signed with the Chargers, DB Alan Ball signed with Jags. No comment on any of those. Moving on.

- CB Antoine Cason signed with the Cardinals. Good pickup there, from everything I'm hearing. Patrick Peterson and Cason should make for a fun matchup in 2013.
