Seahawks promote WR Bryan Walters to active roster, release C Jason Spitz

The Hawks added Kirkland native and practice squad wide receiver Bryan Walters to the 53-man roster and released C Jason Spitz. Spitz had been with the team for the past two weeks as insurance at center while Max Unger sat with an injured arm.

Walters made some noise during the offseason and training camp and from all the reports we heard, seemed to really develop some chemistry with Russell Wilson. He'll now be the fifth receiver on the roster and should be a guy that can play on special teams and even return kicks and punts if need be. He's eligible to play Sunday vs. the Titans but it will be interesting to see if he's active or not.
