Planning on watching some football? Here's what you need to know.
GAME: Seahawks at Chargers
DATE: August 8, 2013
TIME: Kickoff is 7 p.m. PST
NETWORK: Locally, Q13 FOX will carry the game, with national play‐by‐play man Curt Menefee joining ESPN's Brock Huard. I'm actually pretty excited about this tandem.
RADIO: 710 ESPN and 97.3 FM will run the game on the radio. Play-by-play by Steve Raible, joined by the Hall of Famer Warren Moon. Jen Mueller will be on the sidelines.
Online Streaming: NFL.com offers Preseason Live for out-of-market audiences. It's $19.99 for the four weeks of Preseason. I have this, mostly for watching the game over and over and over next week.
All Time Series (Via the Seahawks official program):
This will be the 12th time the Seahawks and Chargers have met in the preseason, with Seattle holding a 7‐4 advantage. The preseason series began with three games played from 1976‐78 with Seattle winning twice. Seattle also took two of three games when play resumed from 2002‐04.
Since re‐alignment in 2002, Seattle has faced San Diego eight times in the preseason, posting a 4‐4 record, and recorded a 24‐17 victory in the last meeting on August 11, 2011. This will be the sixth time in the last eight preseasons Seattle has traveled to San Diego.
In the regular season, these former AFC West rivals have met 49 times and Seattle's 26‐23 record against San Diego is the best against any other AFC West team.
I'm pretty excited for this, I won't lie.
