The Seahawks are banged up. Like, really, really, really banged up. Let's take inventory going position by position.
LT -- Russell Okung has been hurting these past few weeks with lingering issues from foot surgery over the offseason and has reportedly been playing through a torn shoulder labrum. He's now battling a calf injury and will be a game time decision on Sunday. If he can't play, look for Alvin Bailey to get the start.
LG -- James Carpenter left last week's game with back spasms (he returned after a series). He was limited on Wednesday but practiced in full on Thursday and Friday. He should be good to go for Sunday.
C -- Max Unger came back to practice this week after missing the last month or so, and is listed as questionable. Pete Carroll said he's a game-time decision. His backup, Steven Schilling, is also questionable. If neither can play, look for Patrick Lewis to get the go. Lewis has a few snaps this season.
RG -- Holy crap, a healthy spot. J.R. Sweezy is good to go. Garry Gilliam backs him up, as does Schilling and/or Bailey.
RT -- So far so good with Justin Britt, who did not show up on the injury report. Garry Gilliam and/or Andrew McDonald back him up.
QB -- Russell Wilson did not show up on the injury report this week. So we got that going for us, which is nice.
RB -- Marshawn Lynch got his customary off-days this week but should be good to go as listed as probable. Overall, the running backs group looks healthy right now, which is a big bonus.
FB -- Derrick Coleman is now on the injured reserve. The Seahawks signed Will Tukuafu to take his place, and as Carroll noted during his presser today, should be good to go for Sunday. That will be interesting to see. 6'4, 280 pounds. Robert Turbin can play in two-back sets where the play-call doesn't call for a ram-rod up the middle.
TE -- Anthony McCoy is on the IR, Zach Miller isn't close to returning, so look for Luke Willson and Cooper Helfet again this week.
WR -- Punt/Kick returner Bryan Walters passed concussion protocol this week and is listed as probable. He should be good to go, and it will be interesting to see if he takes the kick returning back from Paul Richardson.
DT -- Cassius Marsh, Jesse Williams, and D'Anthony Smith are already on the injured reserve, and Jordan Hill will miss his second straight game with an ankle injury. Greg Scruggs will have to step up big again this week with the depth at that spot so thin. Michael Bennett is listed as probable and should be fine to play on Sunday.
LB -- Bobby Wagner and Malcolm Smith are both out, Heath Farwell is on the injured reserve, and this means rookies Kevin Pierre-Louis and Brock Coyle will step up and step in. Here we go!
SAF -- Jeron Johnson is out with a concussion, and Kam Chancellor is a game-time decision with ankle, hip, and now groin injuries. If Chancellor can't play, DeShawn Shead and Steven Terrell will step in, and the Hawks could activate Terrance Parks to the roster for depth there.
CB -- Jeremy Lane is on the IR-recall, Byron Maxwell will miss this week's game again, which means that Tharold Simon and Marcus Burley step in to play on the outside and in the slot, respectively. Simon is listed as probable with a knee injury, but should be fine. If he tweaks anything, depth gets scary thin again.
With Hill, Johnson, Maxwell, Miller, Smith, and Wagner OUT for Sunday, Seattle only has to add one healthy player to the inactives list.
