The Seahawks got out of their NFC West matchup with the Cardinals relatively unscathed, as Pete Carroll mentioned in his presser Monday afternoon that the only real injury was to Cooper Helfet's ankle, which he suffered near the end of the game. Helfet's status for Thursday's game with the Niners will likely be up in the air right up until the day of, considering it's a short week.

Meanwhile, some Seahawks are getting back to health and could make an appearance this week after missing some time. LG James Carpenter, who's had some very strong games against San Francisco's Justin Smith in his time with the Seahawks, is back at practice and should be good to go for Thursday. Carpenter was extremely close to being able to return on Sunday but the Seahawks decided to play it safe.

NB Marcus Burley is also getting back to practice this week and he has a shot at playing, said Carroll. Burley is Seattle's backup nickelback and considering Jeremy Lane has been battling some injuries this season (he left the game briefly Sunday before returning), the depth will be bolstered at that spot. DL Demarcus Dobbs also has a shot to return to action this week after missing Sunday's game. He'll likely be extra fired up to play his former team in the Niners.

The one bad bit of news that Carroll shared this afternoon is that Kevin Pierre-Louis is still not close to returning, and Carroll alluded to the idea that he'll be placed on the Injured Reserve. That announcement hasn't yet been made, but it would be yet another blow to Seattle's defense and core special teams' units if it goes through. Look for an announcement on that soon.
