Seahawks Prove Definitively That They Are Better Than Cardinals | Slog
The Seattle Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals 35-6 in Glendale, Arizona (which I imagine to be a hellscape of strip malls and tumbleweeds next to a cool stadium) on Sunday night in a game that could best be described as “nowhere near as evenly contested as the absurdly lopsided scoreline would indicate.” The Seahawks dominated the injury-depleted Cardinals all over the field. Russell Wilson had arguably his strongest game of the season, Marshawn Lynch had arguably the strongest run of his career, and the defense had arguably its strongest performance of the year. In short: strong.

Marshawn Lynch's postgame performance art. | SportsonEarth.com : Will Leitch Article
Pete Carroll has seen a lot more football in his lifetime than I have, so I see no reason to contradict him when he says that Marshawn Lynch's 77-yard touchdown run Sunday night was "as good a run as I can ever remember seeing." The run was so jaw-dropping that the Seattle Times quoted pretty much every Seahawks player on their reaction to it, including the instantly immortal Michael Bennett line, "I felt like he was running for freedom or something. Boy, he was gone. They haven't had a run like that since the Underground Railroad."
