Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Marshawn Lynch is being investigated for his involvement in an alleged assault and damage to property that occurred Saturday night in Bellevue. Chris Daniels was the first to report on this. The Bellevue police released a statement that notes a woman has alleged that Lynch was involved, but stipulates that neither domestic violence nor sexual assault were part of the report. No arrests have been made thus far.

Here is the release from the Bellevue PD:

On August 10, 2014, at approximately 2:20 p.m., the Bellevue Police Department received an allegation of an assault and personal property damage at a downtown Bellevue apartment unit. The incident was alleged to have occurred at 2:30 a.m. on August 10. The female victim alleged that the suspect was Marshawn T. Lynch. No domestic violence or sexual assault was involved in the allegation. The case has been assigned to a detective and is an active investigation. The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved. No arrests have been made. There is no further information available at this time.

As Bob Condotta notes, "Bellevue Police Department spokesman Seth Tyler said there is no further information at this time and reiterated that 'this is only an allegation. We haven't even verified that he was involved.'"

As of 11:15 AM on Monday, Lynch hasn't yet spoken to the detective to give his side of the story.
