Seahawks receiver Paul Richardson has a torn ACL, per multiple reports. Richardson tore the same ACL in his left knee in college. The 45th overall pick in the Draft last year -- Seattle's first pick -- finished his rookie season with 29 catches for 271 yards and one touchdown, and had one catch last night before getting injured. The play he got hurt followed his first catch and as he went up to grab a deep bomb, his legs tangled with a defensive back and he landed awkwardly. That's apparently where his ACL tore, and he crumpled to the field in pain.
It's a big hit for Seattle, as Richardson had really come on strong over the past month, and had 13 catches over the past three games. He's also the Seahawks primary kick returner.
He tweeted some encouraging words last night despite likely being told the severity of the injury.
I'll be back, again! #DontBlink!

In his place, it's likely that Kevin Norwood and Ricardo Lockette will try to fill the void. Richardson's injury likely means he'll miss at least part of next season as well.
