Odell Beckham, and Winning Awards Despite Missing Games
Odell Beckham was the best rookie in the NFL this year despite missing a quarter of the season. Over the last eleven weeks of 2014, he led the NFL in receiving yards, and finished second in receptions and receiving touchdowns. He will very soon be named the Offensive Rookie of the Year, which made me wonder: how often has a player won a major award despite missing at least three games in a season?

Former Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson on Scot McCloughan: ‘He’s exactly what the Redskins need’ - The Washington Post
“Scottie and I, we text a lot,” Robinson said Tuesday morning during his weekly radio appearance on Richmond’s Fox Sports 910. “He’s a really good friend of mine. He’s a guy that I attribute the start of my career to because he gave me a chance. I played quarterback in college and had never played running back other than a season in college and they took a chance on me. He kept me in the league. People don’t know he was also part of getting me to Seattle. He left San Francisco, him and [Seattle GM] John Schneider were really good friends from back in Green Bay. He told John, ‘Look, we need to get this guy.’
Dave Krieg's Strike Beard: Ranking the Seahawks Playoff Wins (1983-2014)
This Saturday the Seahawks host the Charlotte Panthers (No, I don't call them "Carolina," because that's a deeply asinine moniker for a pro team) in the 23rd playoff game in franchise history (OK, 25th if you could Super Bowls, but I put those in a category of their own, personally), and they'll be trying to notch their 12th (! NUMEROLOGY ALERT !) all-time post-season win. As we inhale before another 3-game sprint to championship glory, let's look back at our 11 previous playoff wins.
