Seahawks injury report, Pete Carroll press conference notes

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll spoke to reporters Wednesday to preview the matchup with the Niners and to give an injury update. Here are notes from what he said.

Coach Carroll:

  • Carroll says LB Bobby Wagner, DE Frank Clark, and CB Tye Smith will be available for tomorrow's game.

  • Derrick Coleman will not play due to a concussion.

  • Burley has practiced both days, but he could really do everything, he'd like to play but we are giving him another week. (in a cast)

  • The field is the same field the 9ers are playing on. (in regards to playing on a bad field tomorrow).

  • Wouldn't be playing Bobby if we thought his injury could get worse. If we have any issues then we will do what we did last week.

  • Just had to rest Sherman, he had an ankle thing, he will play.

  • Patrick Lewis is out (sprained ankle, already out of boot), we got Lem back. Drew starts with Lem at backup.

  • Gilliam looked good today, is ready to go.

  • Will give Paul Richardson a full week of practice (will come off PUP next week), this is not the week to bring him off of PUP (short week).

  • Brock Coyle had surgery on his knee, he was put on IR designated to return after 8 weeks. Could return Dec. 20 vs CLE.

  • Fred Jackson "did nice job of addressing it & owning up to it". Says confident no other players involved. will play Thurs.

  • Jordan Hill won't make it back this week but will have a real chance to play next week
