Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll talked to media on Friday afternoon, and updated the Seahawks injury situation, among other stuff. Here are some notes on what he said.
Coach Carroll:
-
Marshawn Lynch is questionable - it is the same as it has been in the past, expected to play but questionable.
-
Paul Richardson won't play, has a hamstring. Pete hopes Richardson out just one week.
-
Will be okay at receiver with Richardson out. Don't need to make any roster moves.
-
Jeremy Lane will be evaluated all through the week. Will he be his best for game day? Will he get cleared by everybody?
-
Excited about how we will lean on Cassius Marsh and Frank Clark more-so with Bruce Irvin down. They know they have to come through and step up. It will tell us about the guys, anxious to see them battle coming off the edge. Think something good is about to happen.
-
Mike Morgan has been with us for so long. Has the flexibility to play all the spots. Is a great teammate helping the guys around him understand and all that.
-
Excited for him to get the start. He has that look in his eye, that glean.
-
Kevin Smith is gonna be right in there with all of our guys. In the rotation, will play.
-
Like A.J. Francis, he is a bigger guy than we have had, is gonna help us in the inside, but not sure if he will play. We'll see.
-
Have grown accustom to expectations, can't say anything to us we haven't thought of already. We have the highest expectations of ourselves. We are expecting to turn it and meet those expectations.
-
Kevin Pierre-Louis is a really good football player, he is really fast. Has great on the field speed. Is a willing hitter and is a tough tackler.

Relevant Tweets:
- @bcondotta K.J Wright said he will appeal his fine. Said Fitzgerald was laughing as he got up. Said he apologized to Fitzgerald after hit.
Seahawks Injury Report:
OUT:
- Bruce Irvin (knee)
- Paul Richardson (hamstring)
QUESTIONABLE:
- Marshawn Lynch (abdomen)
My Thoughts:
-
It will be kinda cool to see how the passing game looks. We will only have Tyler Lockett, Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, and Kevin Smith at WR. That means maybe we see Jimmy line up more at WR? More usage of Cooper Helfet in the passing game? Luke Willson?
-
My hope for this game is for it to not be close, I can't stand a close game vs the 49ers without Carlos Hyde and with Blaine Gabbart. It is just too much to bear. Please let our offense move on them, our run game look good, our passing attack look solid and the O-line play better. Please let us rack up 25+ to 0-6 points in the first half or three quarters so we can just start pounding the ball, resting Lynch and giving Rawls and Fred all the RB snaps in the 3rd-4th quarter. Would be nice. At this point I basically just want to be entertained, put on a show, stop being so disappointing.
