To preview the Seahawks vs. Ravens matchup for Sunday, our friend from Pro Football Focus, Jim Seki, sent over some notes on a few signature stats. Here's what Jim had to say (and follow him on twitter).
Signature Stats:
-- Russell Wilson ranks second this year in PFF quarterback rating at 98.98. Whoever starts for the Ravens is near the bottom of the ranks -- Matt Schaub is at 77.57, while Jimmy Clausen is at 64.95.
-- Wilson is also tied for first in accuracy rate (with Philip Rivers) when throwing under pressure at 74.3%. Similar to PFF QB Rating, Schaub and/or Clausen are at the bottom at around 54.0%.
-- Ravens WR Kamar Aiken has a 76.6 WR rating (min. 25% offensive snaps played). Of 83 eligible players, he's the only Ravens' WR on the list. His 1.38 YPRR ranks 58th of 83.
-- Buck Allen has the most receptions for running backs (21 on 23 targets) since he started seeing more snaps since Week 11. He has a fifth-best 2.45 YPRR in that span.
-- Seems to be a weekly occurrence, but the Seahawks get to take advantage of yet another weak tackle. LT James Hurst ranks 74th of 77 among tackles with a 90.7 PBE (pass block efficiency), allowing 38 pressures on only 317 pass plays.
-- Still overlooked by most of the nation east of the Rockies is K.J. Wright's play. Freakishly, he's still only missed ONE tackle on the year in 460 snaps played.
-- Ravens kicker Justin Tucker only has 11.5% of his kickoffs returned, the lowest in the league, mostly from his league-leading 53 touchbacks.
