-------
The first thing that stands out about these moves is that Paul Richardson and Jeremy Lane are on the PUP list, meaning they are now not eligible to practice or play until Week 6. This was expected, but now becomes official.
The three surprises on this list are probably the releases of Lemuel Jeanpierre, D'Anthony Smith, and Greg Scruggs. They all had played relatively well -- and I had thought that Jeanpierre would at least serve as a backup to Drew Nowak at the center position.
This means that the team may prefer Patrick Lewis or even Kristjan Sokoli as the swing interior lineman, and gives both of them a better chance at the roster. The team may also like Mark Glowinski in this role as well.
Past that, few surprises. I think that Davis, Farmer, Greenberry, Foxx -- hell, everyone on that release list save for Scruggs -- has a shot at catching on with the Seahawks practice squad this season.
