Seahawks claim safety Robert Smith off waivers

The Seahawks have claimed safety Robert Smith off of waivers. Smith is a UDFA out of Clemson that signed with the Colts after the Draft. Seattle released Ty Zimmerman in a corresponding move.

Smith racked up 182 tackles, one sack, four interceptions and seven passes defensed in 53 games played with 26 starts at Clemson, as pointed out by the Seahawks' website. He also had six tackles for loss, one sack, two quarterback pressures, a forced fumble,

Smith checks in at 5'10, 204 pounds and ran a 4.59 forty at his Pro Day, with a 4.41 short shuttle, a 7.06 3-cone, a 31" vert, and a 10'01" broad jump.
