Ladies and gentlemen, this is your conductor speaking: this is your last and final chance to board the Tyler Lockett hype train. I repeat: this is your last chance to board the Tyler Lockett hype train.
A few weeks ago I wrote a small article announcing the first boarding for the Tyler Lockett hype train. It was also the night I purchased my Tyler Lockett jersey (yes I sold my soul to buy the customized jersey). We had some fans board the train – but not everyone was sold.
Well – we’re back baby. And there’s no turning back. CHOOO!!!!! CHOOO!!!!!
Three touchdowns later and after numerous big plays – Tyler Lockett has caught the attention of nearly every Seahawks fan (and many fans around the NFL). For those who either A) didn’t watch preseason or B) live under a rock, here are some of Lockett’s highlights from the preseason.

With a dynamic ability to cut on a dime, run crisp routes, and play bigger than he actually is – Lockett is looking to be the steal of the draft. Don’t get me wrong – I was ecstatic when we selected Lockett in the third round of the 2015 Draft, but no one would have guessed he would have an immediate impact like this – not just on special teams, but also on offense.
Everyone knows the Seahawks spread the ball around – and in general, don’t force-feed it to a specific wide receiver. With so much defensive attention focused on Jimmy Graham, Doug Baldwin, and Marshawn Lynch – Lockett may be the one to benefit greatly.
It looks like this offense is going to be fun to watch with Lockett in it. I predict an incredibly productive season for Lockett.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your conductor speaking. Please find your seats and enjoy the ride.
