NFL playoff bracket 2016 update: Seahawks beat Vikings, advance to Carolina to play the Panthers

Wow. What an insane ending. The Seahawks beat the Vikings in one of the most improbable ways you could ever imagine, with the automatic Blair Walsh missing a 27-yard chip shot field goal that would've almost surely won the game with about 20 seconds remaining. Anything can happen in the playoffs, and the bottom line is that the Seahawks just needed to get a win. Seattle survived a sloppy, ugly performance on offense to advance to the Divisional Round.

They'll head to Carolina next Sunday, and the extreme cold likely won't be as big of an issue. It's currently 55-degrees and sunny in Charlotte. So there's that.

Here's an updated NFL playoffs bracket.
