Real in the Field Gulls: Instant reaction to Panthers-Broncos headed to Super Bowl 50

New, comments
Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Well, just as Kenneth had been saying all along, the Carolina Panthers are headed to Super Bowl 50 following an MVP performance by Cam Newton. I knew it!

The Panthers destroyed the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 while the Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots 20-18 on a Tom Brady interception to end the game (!!!!!) The Broncos are headed back two years after their 43-8 destruction at the hands of ... who was that again? But clearly that loss motivated John Elway to change up his strategy on defense and it paid off. Meanwhile, Ron Rivera has Carolina in better shape than even John Fox ever had them and they're going to be everyone's favorites to win it all. Should they be?

We talk about that on the Instant Reaction podcast this week, as well as looking ahead to some free agents that might interest Seattle, plus the state of the NFC after Sunday's game as it pertains to 2016, and then a very involved edition of Real in the Film Gulls.
