NFL playoff schedule: NFC bracket has Seahawks facing Vikings; Panthers are No. 1 Seed

The 2016 NFL playoff schedule: In the NFC, the Panthers and Cardinals have first round byes and the Seahawks face the Vikings. Green Bay will play Washington.

The 2016 NFL playoff brackets have been set for the wildcard round and after Minnesota beat Green Bay on Sunday Night Football, the seedings took shape in the NFC. Carolina and Arizona get first-round byes as the top two seeds in the NFC while Seattle (#6) heads to Minnesota (#3) to face the Vikings. Green Bay (#5), meanwhile, will head to Washington (#4) to face a red-hot Kirk Cousins and company.

NFC playoff bracket

1. Carolina Panthers (15-1)
2. Arizona Cardinals (13-3)

Wild Card weekend

6. Seattle Seahawks (10-6) vs. 3. Minnesota Vikings  (11-5) -- Sunday, January 10th, 10 AM PT
5. Green Bay Packers (10-6) vs. 4. Washington (9-7) -- Sunday, January 10th, 1:40 PM PT

Over in the AFC, after a wild day of action, Denver ended up as the top seed, while that Patriots' loss to the Dolphins sent them down to the second seed. They'll both get byes in the first round. Elsewhere, the Jets just needed a win to get into the postseason but fell to the Bills, and with the Steelers' win over the Browns propelled them into the dance. Pittsburgh (#6) will face the Bengals (#3) and the Chiefs (#5), winners of ten straight, will head to Houston to play the Texans (#4).
