Hey Field Gullers, wanted to pass on some sad news and a request for some help from one of our long-time readers, Stu Court.

Ian Smith, the President of the UK Seahawks fans chapter died on Sunday afternoon after a stroke on Christmas Eve.
As you can imagine, all of us this side of the Atlantic and a good number of people in Seattle and other parts of the U.S. are stunned and devastated at losing Ian.
Ian was one of the people who I got involved with my Motherland article last year and he was chuffed to be a part of it and on Field Gulls.
I'm looking for a little bit of help spreading the word on fund raising efforts. Now the UK Seahawks group is vast --- 1,100 members on the Facebook group -- but there is a chance some may have slipped through the cracks.
Our committee, alongside Ian's family, have set up a fundraising page to donate to Help for Heroes, which is a U.K. Military charity (Ian was a former member and a proud one of our military).
