Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been ruled out of Sunday's Wildcard Round playoff matchup with the Vikings. Lynch did not travel to Minnesota, per Danny O'Neil, and reportedly "determined after Friday's practice that he felt like he couldn't play."
Lynch has been rehabbing for weeks following abdominal surgery, and Pete Carroll had even said Friday morning that the team expected him to play despite the "questionable" designation. However, after Friday's practice, Lynch reportedly felt that he couldn't play, and there was a lot of speculation as to his status when Carroll backtracked on earlier comments that Beastmode would be out there on Sunday.
Photographers noticed that Lynch did not board the team bus to the airport, and it sounds like Lynch told the team just prior to boarding that he felt that he couldn't play.
That means that it's more of the same for the Seahawks at running back. Christine Michael will get the start most likely and will likely share reps with Bryce Brown and Fred Jackson.
