The agony and ecstasy: Reactions from Seahawks-Cardinals sidelines after missed kicks

New, comments
NFL: Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

In a game that only featured scoring via field goals, who could have guessed that both teams blew an easy chance to win the Seahawks-Cardinals Sunday night game via crappy field goal attempts?

Seattle’s Steven Hauschka missed a 28-yard attempt one week after he missed a 29-yard attempt vs the Falcons and had an extra point blocked.

Arizona’s Chandler Catanzaro missed from 24, after earlier having a field goal blocked and an easy attempt denied by head coach Bruce Arians, who has lost faith in his kicker. Catanzaro missed a would-be game-winner from 47 against the Patriots in Week 1.

The Seahawks and Cardinals ended up tied 6-6, the first in Seattle history and one of only a handful of ties since 1989. As both kickers missed, both sidelines had a myriad of reactions. Every player and coach had their moment of agony ... and of ecstasy. Whether or not the game was one for the ages is debatable, but the reactions certainly were.
