NFL: Seattle Seahawks at New York Jets William Hauser-USA TODAY Sports

One quarter of the season is in the books, and nothing is more important than arbitrary lists, made by writers, with varying opinions. These are the NFL Power Rankings for Week 5.

Here at SBNation, the Seahawks rank fourth for another week, behind the Broncos, Vikings, and Patriots. Minnesota is an extremely interesting team, rebounding from losing their starting QB and RB to injuries to begin the season at 4-0 with an outstanding defensive performance and a surprisingly-good year from Sam Bradford.

NFL.com also has Seattle ranked fourth.

Jets beat writer Manish Mehta has the Seahawks ranked fifth after they easily defeated the team he covers and he admits that Russell Wilson “proved me wrong.”

Yahoo! Sports has Seattle ranked third after the Patriots and Broncos, a familiar 1-2-3 of the last four years.

But not everyone thinks that the Seahawks are a top-five team. USAToday has Seattle at 7, not moving them up at all after their easy east coast road win. And then you’ve got Chris Simms and Bleacher Report — Seahawks are ranked eighth after moving up seven spots. Yes, Simms had Seattle ranked 15th a week ago. What?
