In a welcome change of circumstances, the Seattle Seahawks head out on the road to play on the east coast - at 1:05 PM PST! They’ll take on their expansion brothers the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by 2015 first-overall pick Jameis Winston, who will be facing Seattle’s vaunted defense for the first time in his career.
The 2016 Bucs are an up-and-down bunch who remain relevant in a NFC South that no team has grabbed onto quite yet. Winston’s improvement as a passer from year one to two is a big reason behind that. Winston has made as many ‘wow’ plays from outside the pocket as anyone this year, and despite being a bit of a clunky athlete, he’s a threat with both his arm and legs.
Most notably, it looks as though All-Universe safety Earl Thomas will miss his first career game through injury. He’ll be joined on the sideline by Michael Bennett, DeShawn Shead, and nearly every running back to have ever dawned a Seahawks jersey.
