On October 21, 2006, Cal running back Marshawn Lynch made some internet history when he drove a trainers cart around the field following a victory over Washington. The video was uploaded to YouTube that very same day and still sits there; consider that YouTube was only about 18 months old at the time. Gifs and celebrations and Marshawn being Marshawn have captured our hearts and imaginations ever since.
Well, on Saturday, Cal hosted Washington, about 10 years and two weeks after that moment, and Marshawn was there. Of course he wasn’t going to get in on the action to celebrate the near-anniversary of that moment and of course he was going to do it in Marshawn-style.

Despite the fun, Marshawn nearly ran over the band as if it was the anniversary of the Stanford game instead.

As Seahawks fans, we wait for the moment that Lynch makes his triumphant return to Seattle, but no word on that yet. On this day five years ago, he ran for 135 yards and a touchdown in a 23-13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. How nice would it be for him to raise the 12th Man Flag on Monday night against his former team, the Buffalo Bills though?
(That will be Nate Boyer, also good.)
