Tyler Lockett suffers serious leg injury vs Cardinals

In making a 28-yard catch inside the 1-yard line on Saturday, wide receiver Tyler Lockett appeared to suffer a serious leg injury to his right leg. He ended up on his face, not moving much, and then after a commercial break, was getting an aircast on his leg. His foot appeared to be flopping around under the body of the Arizona defensive player who was falling onto him.

With the way the injury looked (possible broken leg or ankle), it appears that Lockett’s season could be over just as he was getting more reps as the number two receiver ahead of Jermaine Kearse.

The Seattle Seahawks were trailing 14-0 at the time of the play. It was ruled as a touchdown but then overturned on review to be set at the half-yard line.

Lockett had two catches for 38 yards on the day and will finish with 41 catches for 598 yards in his second season. At this point, we just have to hope for the best because there’s a good chance that the talk after today will be speculation on if he’ll even be ready by the start of next season.

Update: Pete Carroll confirmed at halftime that the fear is a broken leg
