Well, at least not literally everything went wrong for the Seattle Seahawks this weekend. On Saturday, they lost to the Arizona Cardinals 34-31, lost their place in the seedings, and lost Tyler Lockett to a severely broken leg, but they found one thing: Their All-Pro free safety.
After weeks of telling — not hinting, but straight up telling — that he was thinking about retirement after suffering his own broken leg earlier in the season, Earl Thomas tweeted out after the loss that he would definitely be coming back next year.
I'll def be back next year..

It’s a huge piece of relief for a fanbase that didn’t need one more thing to worry about right now; not that I haven’t seen fans pile on things to worry about, no matter how legitimate any particular fear may be. (Who is ready to spin this into: “Great, now we get a hobbled Thomas back, he’ll never be the same!)
This is great news. Happy Holidays.
