We made it! It’s Week 17 and the Seattle Seahawks will close out the season on the road against the paltry San Francisco 49ers. A victory could see the 49ers re-claim the first overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft, if the Cleveland Browns can notch their second win in as many weeks.
Still lots of positioning to be shaken out in the NFC, where the Seahawks could finish as high as second, or as low as fourth. A victory, combined with an Atlanta Falcons loss, would see Seattle finish second, clinching a first-round bye in the process.
The once-great rivalry between the Seahawks and 49ers is long gone, and fittingly Seattle could end Trent Baalke’s time in San Francisco on Sunday, just like Baalke ended the rivalry with his incompetence.
