Seahawks GM John Schneider spoke at the NFL Scouting Combine Wednesday afternoon, and when asked about tight end Jimmy Graham's recovery from a torn patellar injury, wasn't able to give much of an update.
"It's too early to tell," said Schneider. "It's a very significant injury."
Schneider did mention that Graham is down in Florida rehabbing the injury and that he's in good spirits and has a great attitude about his recovery. He also kind of reiterated that the move to trade for Graham last year was and is one he feels good about.
"Pete and I thought it was very important to have a tall, athletic tight end who can get down the field," Schneider told reporters. "Just have the quarterback deliver the ball on time, get the ball out of his hand quick. That was a big issue for us. Jimmy's a mismatch guy. In our opinion, there's only four or five of those kind of tight ends in the league, so it was very important for us to make that deal."
