Bruce Irvin: If the money is close, he'll stay with Seahawks

Bruce Irvin talked to Justin and Gee on 710 ESPN Seattle on Thursday, and confirmed that he'd love to stay in Seattle if possible. It may not be, but he definitely loves this team.

It may seem like a foregone conclusion that Bruce Irvin will leave in free agency, but as he told Justin and Gee on Thursday, he definitely would like to remain a Seahawk for his entire career. If the money's close, he said, he's staying in Seattle.

"I mean, I love Seattle, and I want to spend the rest of my career there," he told them. "Like I always say, those guys took a chance on me when everybody wasn't even thinking about me. I probably would have gone second, third round. So those guys will always have a place in my heart, a special place.

"So like I said, if the money was close, I would definitely consider it because the brotherhood I have with those guys, it's like no other. I'm as close to most of those guys as I am with my real brothers, so leaving those guys would be very hard on me, but not only me, my family also."
