NFL Free Agency Rumors: Seahawks made strong offer to Russell Okung in attempt to keep him

The Seahawks are making a strong push to re-sign offensive tackle Russell Okung, reports Ian Rapoport.

As of the writing of this article, there's about 90 minutes until the free agency free-for-all begins. The Seahawks have the advantage of negotiating with Okung while he's unable to negotiate with other teams. At 1pm, though, he'll hit the open market and can hear all offers. Seattle may be looking to make him an offer he can't refuse.

Remember, Okung is representing himself, which disqualified him from the "legal tampering" period over the last two days. We'll see if the Seahawks can make a big enough push to get him locked up before the free agent period hits. We had heard previously that Okung was "intent on hitting the open market" so it may just be one last ditch try.
