3000 NFL Mock Draft: Live reaction to Seahawks picking Germain Ifedi, OT, Texas A&M

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

It's been about nine months of doing 3000 NFL Mock Draft and we've finally found out who the Seattle Seahawks first round pick is, and for once it's not: "Nobody." Instead, they picked where we all were hoping they'd be picking in December, which is at 31, except in this case they had to trade with the Denver Broncos to make the pick rather than dismantle them in the Super Bowl like they did the last time to pick last in the first round.

With that, the Seahawks picked Germain Ifedi, OT, Texas A&M. If you've been listening to 3000 NFL Mock Draft though, then you know we've been leaning towards Ifedi for weeks and talking about him as a good possibility for months. Rob Staton was almost certainly the first person anywhere to mention Ifedi as a good possibility for Seattle in the draft and we believe that in his first 2016 mock draft, he had Ifedi as the pick (double-checking the accuracy of that now) but he at least had done it once by last December.

So yeah, I'm proud of the work that comes out of this podcast.

Listen here then to us talk about the draft as it was happening, starting at pick 22 and going until the selection of Ifedi at 31 and then reacting to the pick.
