So Long and Thanks for All The Fish and Shoes

I couldn't decide whether I like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or NoFX more so I figured I'd just combine both references into the title. Also, actually, I'm not really leaving quite yet so it's probably not the best choice of headline anyway.

Regardless, as you may or may not have seen on the twitters (everyone is on twitter, right?), I've accepted a position with The Ringer, which means I'll be stepping down as the editor here at Field Gulls on June 10th. It's obviously a very bittersweet thing for me because I've loved the writing team and the commenting community here at the site, but am also very excited for what the future holds writing about the entire NFL.

As I said, I'm not leaving quite yet, but still I'd like to extend a huge thank you to all the writers here that I've had the honor of working with over the past five years. You know who you are -- and there are a lot of you -- and I really had a blast helping to build Field Gulls into one of the top Seahawks sites on the planet. I'm very proud of the content we've created over the past five years.

Thanks for reading. Thanks for commenting. Thanks for bullshitting with me on twitter. I'll still be around. I have a new handle now, @DannyBKelly; yeah I know it's weird.
